Peaceful community for those interested in Buddhism

Welcome to the Livejournal Buddhist Group!

We are a friendly community of Buddhists and those interested in Buddhism, here for the discussion of Buddhist philosophy and meditation in its various forms. You don't have to be a Buddhist to join us, you just need an interest.

This is a place for those new to Buddhism and experienced practitioners alike. Even if you know absolutely nothing about Buddhism, please post, and ask any questions you may have. We don't follow a specific tradition of Buddhism, so you will read perspectives from all different traditions, which can be very helpful.

Guidelines for posting:

- Please avoid personal attacks, in severe cases they will be moderated
- Inter-religious/lineage negativity: debating is fine, but
bashing should be avoided
- Topics can relate to Buddhism, or to any other beneficial topic not directly related (health, wellness, Japan, China, a soothing song, etc.)
- Inflammatory off-topic posts, or trolling, is not allowed
- 18+ or "not safe for work" content is allowed, if placed under an < lj-cut >, provided it is relevant to the community and the other guidelines.
